Excuses Christians Use For Not Keeping The Law Of God #4
The book of Galatians says, the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster. (Genesis 39:9) There is none greater in this house than I; neither hath he kept back any thing from me but thee, because thou art his wife: how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?
(Genesis 7:2) Of every clean beast thou shalt take to thee by sevens, the male and his female: and of beasts that are not clean by two, the male and his female.
(John 1:29) The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.
(Ezekiel 43:18) And he said unto me, Son of man, thus saith the Lord GOD; These are the ordinances of the altar in the day when they shall make it, to offer burnt offerings thereon, and to sprinkle blood thereon.
(Hebrews 10:8) Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law;
(Hebrews 10:9) Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second.
(Hebrews 10:10) By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
(Hebrews 10:11) And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins:
(Hebrews 10:12) But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;
(John 14:23) Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
