Did Jesus Go to Church on Sunday?

Many people assume that Jesus declared a new day of worship, Sunday.  Yet, in the book of Acts at the Jerusalem Counsel, there is no mention of a new day of worship or a change from Sabbath to Sunday. Is this merely an oversight of the New Testament writers?  If there had been a change in the Ten Commandments concerning the Sabbath day, would not this have been documented in the New Testament?

Biblical Facts:

Matthew 12:8 For the Son of man is Lord even of the Sabbath day.

Historical Facts:

“But you may read the Bible from Genesis to Revelation, and you will not find a single line authorizing the sanctification of Sunday. The Scriptures enforce the religious observance of Saturday, a day which we never sanctify.” – Roman Catholic Confessions, James Cardinal Gibbons, The Faith of Our Fathers, 88th ed.,p. 89.
